COLORADO

COLORADO SPRINGS

Set right on the base of the Colorado Rockies, and adjacent to some of the states most famous outdoor attractions.

SUGGESTED STAY LENGTH

We recommend 1-2 nights

MAP LINK:

CLIMATE: high elevation, all four seasons

NOTEWORTHY:

You may be tempted to check out EVERYTHING in Colorado Springs, but one reason we like to get a little further from the cities for our outdoor adventures is for less crowds. Colorado has attracted so many people over the last few years that even well-known outdoor attractions can feel over-crowded.

CURRENT COVID RESTRICTIONS

Pretty relaxed with most businesses just stating that they require unvaccinated people wear a mask.

VICTOR

A true ghost town now with only about 400 residents, this old mining town once had the most millionaires per capita in the U.S.

SUGGESTED STAY LENGTH

We recommend 1-2 nights

MAP LINK:

CLIMATE: high elevation, all four seasons

NOTEWORTHY:

This town decided against the usual casino route that some mining towns in Colorado used to stay alive after the gold rush was over. Driving into Victor is like stepping back in time to the wild days of miners and brothels. It's great for kids as well because there is plenty to explore

CURRENT COVID RESTRICTIONS

Relaxed

VIBE: A gold rush time-freeze, historic luxe

PRICE RANGE: $97-$118/night

FEATURES: Clean, comfortable, great views, stay in a ghost town, on-property restaurant, walking distance to everything in town
